What we collect
Nothing directly. The site has no accounts, sign-ups, comments or forms. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or social media scripts.
The guesses you type into the solver, the hints you open and the answers you reveal stay in your browser. They aren't sent to us, and they aren't saved. Close the tab and they're gone.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. How long Cloudflare keeps those details is set out in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If you email us
We'll get your address and whatever you write, and we use them to reply. We don't add you to any mailing list. To have your messages deleted, ask at the address on our contact page.
Links to other sites
Links such as the one to the official game at NYTimes.com take you to sites with their own privacy policies. Nothing from those sites loads on our pages until you click through.
Children
The site doesn't knowingly collect anything from anyone, children included.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or advertising, this page will be updated before they go live, with the date at the top changed to match and any consent you're entitled to in place.
